What to expect — and what this can't do
Washing removes contamination — it does not remove defects. Existing swirls, etching and oxidation need paint correction; a wash and sealant will make them look better in some light but they are still there.
Keeping it that way
Rinse salt and sprinkler overspray off promptly, wash in shade, use clean mitts and plush drying towels, and keep protection topped up so dirt has less to grip.
